Our Story

A Local HVAC Company Built on Straightforward Service

North Aurora Air & Heating has been serving Aurora, IL and the surrounding communities since 2007. What started as a one-person operation has grown into a trusted name in local HVAC — not because of aggressive advertising, but because of word-of-mouth from customers who got exactly what they were told they'd get.

How It Started

Kyson Castro launched North Aurora Air & Heating in 2007 with a simple premise: Aurora homeowners deserved better service than what the large regional companies were offering. Too often, customers were waiting days for a technician, getting repair estimates that didn’t match the final bill, or being pushed toward replacements when a repair would have held up just fine.

Kyson had spent years working for larger HVAC outfits in the western suburbs and had seen firsthand how the service experience deteriorated as companies scaled up. He started small — focused entirely on the Aurora area — because he knew that staying local meant staying accountable. If he did a bad job, he’d hear about it from someone at the hardware store or at a neighborhood block party. That kind of accountability changes how you work.

Almost two decades later, that same approach drives everything we do. We haven’t tried to expand into a regional operation. We still focus on Aurora, North Aurora, Montgomery, Batavia, Geneva, Oswego, Sugar Grove, and the communities immediately surrounding them — the areas where we can genuinely provide consistent, responsive service.

Community Roots

Aurora has changed a lot since 2007, but it’s still the same kind of community — people who work hard, take care of their homes, and want to deal with local businesses they can trust. We’ve had customers call us back season after season for their annual furnace or AC tune-ups, and we’ve done heating work for families who later referred us to their adult kids when they bought their first houses in the area.

That kind of continuity isn’t something you get from a large national franchise. It comes from being present in the community year after year and treating every service call like it matters — because it does, especially when a family is without heat in February or their air conditioner fails the week temperatures hit 95 degrees.

North Aurora Air & Heating doesn’t take those situations lightly. We prioritize emergency calls and work extended hours so customers don’t have to wait in uncomfortable conditions longer than necessary.

What Guides Every Service Call

Honest Diagnosis First

We explain what we find before we quote a repair. If it can be fixed for a reasonable cost, we fix it. If the equipment is near end of life and a repair doesn't make financial sense, we say so.

No Unnecessary Upsells

We don't have sales quotas. Our technicians are paid to fix problems, not to sell replacement systems. You won't be pressured into an upgrade you don't need.

Reliable Scheduling

We keep our schedule organized so appointments actually happen when we say they will. If something changes, we communicate — we don't leave customers waiting without a word.

Work That Holds Up

We'd rather take slightly longer and do something properly than rush through a job and have to come back. Our repeat customer rate reflects that approach.

These aren’t just talking points — they’re the reason customers who called us for a furnace repair in 2010 are still calling us for seasonal maintenance today. If you’re looking for an Aurora HVAC company that operates this way, get in touch or call us at (331) 373-5615.
